There He is again,
Concerned while I am striving,
He’s sitting in the backseat,
When He knows He should be driving!
I have forgotten once again,
Until we are arriving,
He should have been behind the wheel,
And I should just be riding!
Sometimes I fail and I forget,
To have Him in the car at all,
I’m truly absent-minded,
Until I see the crashing-wall !
He’s riding there behind me,
Not fearful in the least,
But He should have the throttle,
This bike’s too much for me.
He should be in the pilot’s seat,
He needs to have that yoke,
My flying skills are funny,
They’re really quite a joke!
My locomotive’s whistle screams,
So loud that I can scarcely hear,
Why’s He back there shovelin’ coal?
He should be Engineer!
Sometimes I put Him in the back,
Riding with the load,
He should be handling this big rig,
When hauling down this road!
I should always have Him steering,
On winding roads and steep,
Not just when I need a break,
Or when I want to sleep!
I’m in this car I call my life,
He’s walking toward the door,
I think I’ll slide to the passenger side,
For only He can really drive,
Only He can make this tiny engine roar!
