"Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. This is fundamentally what Christianity is all about.
"The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. Another converted atheist presents His compelling case for believing in Jesus.
"Left To Tell" by Imaculee Ilibagiza. This profound work is her own extraordinary story of endurance, discovery of the Holy Spirit, grace, healing, and an astonishingly compelling account of the necessity for forgiveness.
"The Circle" 4-book series by Ted Dekker.
A man is the bridge between two very different worlds. Sound familiar? Can he save both? This T.D. work is brilliant in my book.
"This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness" by Frank E. Peretti. Tales of spiritual warfare from a unique perspective. Stirred a small controversy, but sold millions. What are we Christians afraid of? Hey, it's fiction!

Beautiful song. Mary’s role in God’s plan fascinates me. What a privilege, and what a heartbreak for her Calvary was. I wonder how much she understood and if she knew that Jesus died to save her and the whole world who would believe. I wonder if she knew it before he died or learned it afterward. I know the Angel told her some things, but he didn’t mention that part.

Mary’s story is one of my favorite mysteries to contemplate. Fascinating! Her struggles are so applicable to our own lives!
Luke 2:35
—and a sword will pierce even your own soul– to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”
Barnes Notes: Nothing so “brings out” the feelings of sinners as to tell them of Jesus Christ. Many treat him with silent contempt; many are ready to gnash their teeth; many curse him; all show how much by nature the heart is opposed to “religion” (quotation marks, my own), and thus are really, in spite of themselves, fulfilling the scriptures and the prophecies. So true it that “none can say that Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Ghost,”
(In the end, all will bow their knee to Jesus Christ – both the saved and the condemned will recognize His sovereignty. : L’s opinion )
