Remember sacred memory
Of those who chose to sacrifice
Their single, treasured, earthly life,
Like Christ, their neighbors to keep free.
No greater love has any shown
Than Christ who gave us perfectly
His Life and Love that we could know
God’s freedom, peace, security.
For all your sacrifice and pain
We pray our people wake and see
We are released, unbound, unchained,
Not hobbled now, but running free.
This, thanks to Christ and such as these,
This, thanks to Christ and such as these.

I thought I remembered seeing white letters when I was here before, but I only see red and blue now.

You are very observant! Some folks whom I value the opinion of (pardon, my prep) said that it was a little hard to read, so I changed it. Do you think I should change it back? It is so gratifying that you and others have actually cared about my content and taken the time to comment. Thank you, my Sister.
In His awesome Love,
Len

The light blue background made the white lettering faint, so maybe it should stay the way you have it now. I almost skipped over the white, but my eyes caught the words just in time. Red, white, and blue was a great idea. It would have worked with a darker background. Great message in the poem. Blessings to you, Brother Len…

Yes, I tried light yellow but that didn’t make sense, lol. I’ll take your suggestion. Happy June and God bless.

the white letters do show up–they are just very hard to see against the robin’s egg blue background…

Maybe there is benefit to having people look closer to read that verse. It is an important verse, but aren’t they all, hehe.
Thanks for your input. 😀

“It is for freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery…”
Gal 5:1
Freedom comes at a great cost. May we accept it…then run freely under it, thankfully.

Do the white letters show up ok on your comp? They do on mine, but I’ve begun to wonder. I wanted red, white and blue, but only if the second verse can be read. 😀
